in bloom
It is a nice surprise to see something in bloom after it has been dormant for a while. You can say this for the garden, but really it is a metaphor for anything. When your imagination has been quiet but it springs back to life, or your desire for cooking has slowed down but suddenly your taste buds get re awakened by a new flavour. When I went around the corner of my house the … Read entire article »

meeting my niece

a little prayer
Dear Diary, It took me a long time to get back to sleep last night after I woke up through the night. I know many women my age experience this sometimes. I know I am not alone in the middle of the night, that lots of you are awake out there too. It is a comfort to know that lots of you are out there, resting quietly, reading, saying your prayers. It is part of … Read entire article »
