small town saturday night
Dear Diary,So for years we have have gathered at Mansour’s store in late November for the parade. Years ago it was a gathering place for my in laws and kids but that changes as we grow older ourselves. Still, the parade is the parade, and whether you are four or fifty, it is something to see. Mansour’s makes hot chocolate and oreos (that Robert is quite a cook) Lots of people from the community come and watch the parade go by the store. This year a few people brought some home made goodies, egg nog cookies and fudge, and we stood for an hour until Santa Claus rolled by.There is just something about the waiting, the anticipation, watching the little ones. It’s the beginning of Christmas for me. It’s a tradition, it’s a small town Saturday night.
The online course will be a go for Februarury, lots of action there with people registering already. So I started writing, creating videos and preparing already. My goodness it is exciting.
