Well, Mr.Clarke I am Impressed
How our Cheticamp frames are made….
I was sitting at home Saturday night when Grant phoned and said he was making cheticamp frames. I had asked Grant to let me know so I could take pictures for Deanne’s Blog. I have to tell you I was totally amazed with his workshop and this machine he bought and built himself. He showed me the trees he cut down and then the  milling process, the big stack of lumber that didn’t make the cut.Once inside he had his machine all set up and ready to go, everything computerized that will work with a touch of a few buttons. As I stood there watching him go through each step and was mesmorized at how precise, smooth and accurate the carving turned out to be.Listening to Grant tell me how everything worked, I could feel his sense of pride because I was feeling it to…thinking what could I have him make for me…when it was finally time to leave because my son was calling wanting a drive and I told him I would only be 15 mins well 30 mins later…. I was running up the road only to notice I still had the big orange head set on, could thing it was getting dark.

Thanks Grant
That would be lovely! Will put my thinking cap on and will let Deanne know.
Lorna is very lucky to have a special room – my ‘stuff’ seems to migrate throughout the house; a pile here, a stash there! Patient, encouraging and understanding husband helps!
thanks again

First off, Lorna is always calling me Mr. Clarke but please call me Grant. Judy, I can make you a wooden plaque for each side of your frame and it can be “Create”… “Beauty” or anything else that may inspire you when you sit down to hook. Brenda ( my wife) has a special room where she goes to be creative, with colored wool in the corner, pictures on the wall and a spinning wheel in another corner to mention a few of the items. Finally if you decide on something, let Deanne know and I’ll do something up.
I am not sure Judy. I can check.
Very impressive Mr. Clarke – nice to see how they are made!! Hope he realizes how much we love usng them!
Have a question – for those of us who bought one prior to the name being engraved on them, would it be possible to get a name plate or? to put on the frame so it can be identified?
Thanks

I am looking forward to the day I can order a large Cheticamp frame and come up there to pick it up. Thank you for the pictures Lorna. I’m happy to have be able to see Mr. Clarke and his workshop.
