Studio Visit to Laurie Swim

Dear Diary, Last week on our road trip, Katherine and I swung by Laurie Swim’s Lunenburg art Gallery. I had met Laurie when she came to our third Nova Scotia Fibre arts Festival. She generously took time out of her day and had a little studio visit with me, showing me her techniques , some of her work, and what she had in the works. I always find visiting another artist inspiring. Laurie is the author of three books about art Quilting and runs a gallery in Lunenburg Nova Scotia. It is always interesting to see how another artist works, her process and the ideas she has rolling around in her head. We had a lovely visit. If you are in Lunenburg, I encourage you to drop by, pick up some of her gorgeous art cards (I did) and use them yo write someone you love.
