light falling on wool

Dear Diary,

Light falling on wool  makes me feel like hooking rugs.

Light falling on wool is warm.

Light falling on wool makes me remember fall and winter,

and the cozy joy of snuggling up by the fire .

Light falling on wool. Perfect.

Deanne, i love the wools you’ve chosen to illustrate today’s message. I’ve been using the wools you sent me in a texture pak last year as part of an abstract on my Cheticamp, and just loving the effect. So the other day, when I spied all the colors of Briggs yarn at my local yarn store, I had to indulge and bought a huge selection. Your top picture reminds me of one of them, a brown heather. Can’t wait to use them. Maybe at the Prairie Harvest Rug Hooking School this week, where I’m doing the punch hooking class.
